PUNARNAVAMANDOORAM TABLET;

Punarnava (Boerhavia Diffusa) is an Ayurvedic medicine that is used since ancient times. It is used to increase iron levels in the body. The medicine help treat diseases like anemia, jaundice, hepatitis, colitis, gout, and more. It contains multiple ingredients including Hogweed (Punarnava), dried ginger, trivet, black pepper, long pepper, cedar, turmeric, haritaki, bhibhitaki, amla, carom, and caraway. All these ingredients contribute to a healthier body and mind. The medicine also prevents the human body from various diseases like liver infections, Hydronephrosis, kidney stones, arthritis, diabetes, and heart failure. It is a powerful laxative that also works to reduce cholesterol levels in the body. It can treat urinary tract infections, heavy menstruation, fibroids, and clotting in women.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Boerhaavia diffusa - is mainly used to treat the accumulation of fluids (Oedematous conditions) in the body. It is considered to be an effective "Rasayana". It is also used in the treatment of anemia and liver diseases as recommended by Indian Ayurveda.

Azadirachta indica - is used for leprosy, eye disorders, bloody nose, intestinal worms, stomach upset, loss of appetite, skin ulcers, diseases of the heart and blood vessels (cardiovascular disease), fever, diabetes, gum disease (gingivitis), and liver problems. The leaf is also used for birth control and to cause abortions.

Piper nigrum - ''Piperine''exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelet, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-asthmatics, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antispasmodic, antidepressants, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, anti-thyroids, antibacterial.

Embelia Ribes -  are recommended for relieving headache, rhinitis, hemorrhage, epilepsy, and insomnia. The decoction of dried fruits is used for fever and chest and skin disease. The paste is applied for skin infection.

Plumbago zeylanica is used to treat stubborn chronic rheumatoid arthritis, skin diseases, and tumorous growths as recommended by Ayurveda.

Curcuma longa - used to treat different conditions of inflammatory origin such as joint pain and skin inflammation, and is also used for diarrheal conditions and fever.

Berberis aristata - is used traditionally in the Indian system of medicine as an antibacterial, antiperiodic, antidiarrheal and anticancer and it is also used in the treatment of ophthalmic infections. Its root, stem, and leaves also find their use in the treatment of various ailments and hence is used extensively in Ayurveda.

Terminalia bellirica -  is used to protect the liver and to treat respiratory conditions, including respiratory tract infections, cough, and sore throat. Terminalia chebula is used for dysentery. Terminalia bellerica and Terminalia chebula are used as a lotion for sore eyes.

Emblica Officinalis - is one of the most important plants in the traditional Ayurvedic medical system as well as in other traditional health systems for immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, hepatoprotective, and anticancer actions.

Baliospermum montanum - is a blood purifier and paste of danti roots and seeds are used to reduce edema and pain. Both act as analgesics to relieve pain. This herb has antipyretic properties and is used to treat fever. This herb is also anti-inflammatory and used to reduce inflammation.

Piper Chaba -  as a gastro-protective, anti-flatulent, appetizing property, as an expectorant, anti-fungal agent, anti-tussive, and also possesses cholesterol-lowering properties 

Holarrhena antidysenterica -  used to treat amoebic dysentery and chronic diarrhea. It is also a useful herb for treating various gut-related problems in small infants. It is used to kill harmful worms of the intestine.

Piper longum - is most commonly used to treat chronic bronchitis, asthma, constipation, gonorrhea, paralysis of the tongue, diarrhea, cholera, chronic malaria, viral hepatitis, respiratory infections, stomachache, bronchitis, diseases of the spleen, cough, and tumors.

Cyperus rotundus -  is a medicinal herb traditionally used to treat various clinical conditions at homes such as diarrhea, diabetes, pyretic, inflammation, malaria, and stomach and bowel disorders.

Mandur Bhasma - with hematogenic, hematinic, anthelmintic, carminative, and fat-burning properties, this classical formulation forms a one-shot remedy for anemia and provides relief from liver disorders jaundice (hemolytic jaundice), inflammation, anomalies with the spleen, and gynecological woes like amenorrhea.

Zingiber officinale  - treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis.

Terminalia chebula -  is used for dysentery. It is used as a lotion for sore eyes. Terminalia chebula is also used topically as a mouthwash and gargle. Intravaginally, Terminalia chebula is used as a douche for treating vaginal infections.

Cedrus deodara -acts as an expectorant and is useful in curing piles, epilepsy, stones in the kidney and bladder, useful in fevers, and many other disorders. The oil is antiseptic in nature and helpful in curing skin diseases, wounds, urogenital diseases, diaphoretic, and insecticides.

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;

Take 500 mg -1g once or twice a day before or after food or as directed by the physician. Patients is advised to take buttermilk along with this medicine.
