NEERKOVAI MATHIRAI;

Neerkovai maathirai is a Classical Siddha medicine for externally, It is used to treat Sinusitis, headache and Nasal blockage.   

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Styrax benzoin - Sambaraini -has been used traditionally for the treatment of skin diseases, arthritis, wounds, muscle pain, anxiety, and nervous disorders. Benzoin oil is widely used in the food, drinks and alcoholic beverage to give flavor, and for varnishing woods.

Piper nigrum - Milagu -'Piperine''exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelet, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-asthmatics, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antispasmodic, antidepressants, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, anti-thyroids, antibacterial.

Zingiber officinalis - Chukku -is one of the most widely used natural products consumed as a spice and medicine for treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis.

Myristica fragrance - Jathikai -used to treat stomach ulcers, indigestion, liver disorders, and as emmenagogue, nervine, diuretic, diaphoretic, and aphrodisiac.

Trachyspermum ammi -Omam -used traditionally as an important remedial agent for flatulence, atonic dyspepsia, diarrhea, abdominal tumors, abdominal pains, piles, and bronchial problems, lack of appetite, galactogogue, asthma and amenorrhoea.

Syzygium aromaticum - Lavangam -used for centuries in the treatment of vomiting; flatulence; nausea; liver, bowel and stomach disorders; and as a stimulant for the nerves. 

Cinnamomum camphora - Karpooram -used traditionally for the treatment of heart conditions, colds and fevers, respiratory complaints such as pneumonia, inflammatory conditions, infections, diarrhea, and hysteria. Topical applications act as a counterirritant and antiseptic.

Curcuma aromatica - Kasthuri Manjal - used for the treatment of gastrointestinal ailments, arthritic pain, inflammatory conditions, wounds, skin infections, and insect bites.

Curcuma longa - Kappu Manjal - used to treat different conditions of inflammatory origin such as joint pain and skin inflammation, and is also used for diarrheal conditions and fever.

Sodium tetraborate - Porintha Vengaram -is widely used as a drug of choice for the treatment of Antipyretic, Anti microbial, Refrigerant, Stimulant, and stomachic actions.

It's useful for Thalai Bharam[ heaviness of head]

It is used to treat Neerpinisam[ sinusitis]

It is used to treat Thalaivali[ headache ] cough /spasm.

DIRECTIONS FOR USAGE;

Rubbed with hot water into a paste and applied externally on the forehead, or as directed by the physician.
