PADIGA LINGA CHENDOORAM;

Padiga Linga Chendhooram is a traditional medicine in Siddha system of medicine. It is used to treat  is one those kind of medicine clinically indicated for mucus diarrhoea (Seethabethi), dysenteric diarrhoea (Ratthabethi), diarrhoea with fever (kazhichalsuram) and menorrhagia (Perumbadu) also.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Lingam - Mercuric sulphide(purified) - used as skin ointments to treat skin infection, and in developing countries, they have been applied to the treatment of skin sores from syphilis. Mercury compounds have been used as laxatives and also added to teething powders as calomel (mercurous chloride).

Vengaram - Potassium alumininum sulphate (purified) - is used in medicine mainly as an astringent (or styptic) and antiseptic.

Rhus succedanea - is antidote, antivinous, cholagogue, febrifuge, ophthalmic. Used as a wash to counteract varnish poisoning. The fruit is used in the treatment of phthisis. A wax from the fruits is used in ointments.

Woodfordia fruticosa - is very beneficial herb to cure range of vast diseases, it is used to cure diarrhea, piles and dysentery because it is a powerful astringent. Dhataki flower applied externally to relieve burning sensation of skin.

INDICATIONS;

It's useful for various kind of diarrhoea such as Kaduppu Kazhichcal [ irritational diarrhoea]

It is used to treat Kuruthi Kazhichchal , Ratha bethi [ diarrhoea accompanied by blood discharge],

It is used to treat Surakazhichchal[ diarrhoea accompanied with fever], etc.,

It is used to treat  Seethabethi[ dysentery],

Its reduces Vayittru Vali[ stomach pain],

It is used to treat  menstrual disorders such as Soothaga Soolai[dysmenorrhoea], 

It is used to treat Perumpaadu[metrrohagia]

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;

Take 100 to 200mg twice a day with butter or ghee twice a day after food, or as directed by the physician.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS;

Avoid salts, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [ bitter gourd], sasban[ agathikirai], non-veg foods, tobacco.
